Moog Source is a great analog synthesizer, it has 2 oscillators.
They are the same oscillators-chips
as late Minimoogs had (minimoogs with serials starting from #10175)
early Minimoogs with serials up to #10175 (before '78 ) had early oscillators,
They sounded warm and fat but were unstable.
in 1978 Moog started to produce Minimoogs with new stable chip-oscillators.
So minimoogs with serials starting from #10175 had these new stable chip-oscillators.
They were considered by many to sound less fat than previous oscillators but i love the way they sound!
LFO is attached both to oscilators and to filter,
so when you attach it to the filter, you can use it as "growl" function.
it has 16 programs, 2 oscillators, 3 wave shapes (32', 16', 8' )
arpeggiator, 24 db filter, voltage controlled amplifier, glide
i have 2 moog source synths. the first one is early version with no screws on front metal surface.
it has upgrade kit made by moog (in/out panel is upgraded - when you see those 2 black stickers on the back side - this is the upgrade i speaking about) so after this upgrade kit installed it
equals to later version of source.
the second one is late version of moog source.
